Referral Terms & Conditions 2024
Definitions:
Compliant: Candidates who have passed Medicare People’s registration guidelines and are eligible for agency work.
Referral: A person who has not previously worked for Medicare People or a worker who hasn’t been with Medicare People in the last 12 months (referred to as a “New Worker”).
Referral Bonus: A cash bonus of £200 for each agency nurse referred and £100 for each Band 2 Healthcare Assistant/Support Worker referred.
Referral Date: The date Medicare People receives the referral.
Referrer: The person recommending a potential New Worker.
Qualifying Criteria: Conditions that must be met for the referrer to earn the bonus.
Scheme: The program designed by Medicare People to facilitate referrals and bonus payments.
Temporary Placements: Workers engaged for specific periods, seasonal, or casual work.
Worker: A person who has previously worked for Medicare People.
Scheme Details: Medicare People’s ‘Refer A Friend’ scheme rewards referrers who refer qualified Nurses, Midwives, Healthcare Assistants (HCAs), or ODPs seeking work in the UK for Temporary Placements. Referrals must complete the required working hours with Medicare People.
Qualifying Criteria:
Referral Submission: Referrals must be submitted via phone, email, post, or the online form on the Medicare People website. The referral will be contacted by a consultant to register them as a New Worker and secure work engagements.
Professions: The referral must be a qualified Nurse, Midwife, HCA, or ODP.
Worked Hours: The bonus is payable once the referral completes a minimum of 62 hours and 30 minutes within the first 6 months of their first shift after becoming Compliant, with hours authorized and accepted by Medicare People’s clients.
Referral Bonus Payment:
Bonus Amount: £200 for Nurse placements; £100 for Healthcare Assistant placements.
Claiming the Bonus: Referrers must claim their bonus within three months after the referral completes the required hours by contacting their relevant consultant.
Payment: The bonus is paid once the qualifying criteria are met and the referrer requests payment.
General Terms: Medicare People reserves the right to reject a referral bonus payment request if:
The referral has registered with Medicare People in the past 12 months.
The referral has not met the qualifying criteria.
The referral currently works for Medicare People.
Any other justifiable reason deemed by Medicare People.
Medicare People also reserves the right to:
Vary the terms and conditions of the scheme at its discretion.
Cancel or discontinue the scheme without paying outstanding claims, introducing a replacement scheme, offering compensation, or informing referrers
Refer a friend and earn up to £200 in cash.
